RPID RT-PCR at Cheap Hyd Airport in India

New Delhi / Hyderabad: While the Maharashtra government on Wednesday slipped fast RT-PCR tariffs to ₹ 1,975 at Mumbai airport, it continued to cost ₹ 3,900 at Rajiv Gandhi International Airport – the highest in this country.
This, after the recent revised price from the previous level ₹ 4,500.
According to the guidelines, all international passengers from risky countries must undergo RT-PCR tests, upon arrival at RGIA.
They can choose the basic RPCR which is ₹ 750 (government tariff) and waits around four hours for the results or take a quick test and get results within one hour.
The fast RT-PCR in Igia Delhi, also run by GMR Group, which was used for a cost of ₹ 3,900 until last month has now been reduced to ₹ 3,500.
“Because the price is determined by the testing lab (Maymygenome), we do not say in it,” said GMR representative in RGIA, on Wednesday.
While Ti cannot reach MapmyGenome officials for comments, passengers maintain prices are still steep.
“@Rgiahyd looted passengers on behalf of #Covidtest charging 3900 per head and conducted a test for everyone who had a negative report below 72 hours too …,” passenger tweets.
Along with those who fly in and out of Igia Delhi, they are also now wondering if the government will save them.
Source of Delhi Airport said Mumbai Price Drop Move came after government direction.
Speaking to TOI recently, Chetan Kohli, COO of the Diagnostics Genestrings, testing lab at Delhi Airport, has connected high costs for fast expensive kits from Abbott India – the price is above ₹ 2,000 – even as a spokesman for Abbott India insisted that the price ID Now the test (fast point-of-care fast molecule) is “decided by each airport service provider aligned with the state government authority.”
