Bikaner / Jaipur: Seventeen people were arrested for alleged involvement of their cheating in the recruitment test of Rajasthan Police Sub-Inspector in Bikaner and Jaipur on Monday, officials said.
As many as 10 people including the principal of private schools were arrested at Bikaner for allegedly facilitating cheating in the exam, officials said.
Seven was arrested from Jaipur.
Bikaner’s supervisor from Priti Chandra police said the principal distributed papers to several people through whatsapp immediately after the start of the exam and they continued it to others to prepare the answer key.

Police actions were taken after the operating group specifically told the district police in this matter.
In Jaipur, seven men were arrested for allegedly running rackets to cheat candidates by promising their choices.
Following a tip-off, the police team held seven near the exam center in Jagatpura.
The police also found details of candidates from their cellphones and RS 1 lakh cash from one of the two cars they used, police said.
DCP East Prahlad Krishniya said the defendant was suspected of taking money from candidates by promising their selection in the SI exam.
“They are further interrogated to ensure further details,” he said.
