New Delhi: Rajasthan Royals on Wednesday traced the left wrist of South Africa Tabraiz Shamsi for the rest of the IPL scheduled to be held in the UAE from September 19.
Shamsi, World No.
1 Ranking T20i Bowler in ICC ranking, will join the Royals Squad as their second substitute.
31 years old from Johannesburg representing ‘The Titans’ in South African domestic cricket, and made his international debut for South Africa during the Bilateral T20i series against England in 2017.
Spinner left arm since 45 Wickets 39 T20IS, along with 32 Wickets at 27 ODIS for Africa South.
In the IPL, Shamsi has played 4 matches where he took 3 Wickets for Bangalore Royals Challengers, who have recruited him as a substitute during the 2016 season.
Meanwhile, the Australian Pacer Andrew Tye, who went to the house in the middle of the Covid-19 pandemic during the first phase IPL, said he would not be available for the rest of the season.
“With a little regret that I have to get out of the rest of the IPL 2021 with Rajasthan Royals,” Tye said in a release issued by the franchise.
