Ghaziabad: National Region Corporation Region Region (NCRTC) is likely to start putting the track on the stretch of Sahibad-Duhai for the regional rapid rail transit system next week.
17km-stretch is a priority part and has a time limit of 2023.
“The train track has reached the construction site.
Viaduct for 8km in the priority section is ready and the work to put the track is expected to begin next week,” said Puneet Vats, Head of Community Officials, NCRTC , The company is also preparing a draft for the Funding model of the value of values along the 82km long RRT corridor.
Officials say it will likely be ready in about 20 days and after that, it will be sent to the Country Cabinet for approval.
“The corridor of Sarai Kale Khan to Meerut will change the regional landscape completely.
The area under the zone of its effect will witness the increase in property rates,” said Asheesh Shivpuri, Head of City Architect and Planner, Ghaziabad Development Authority (GDA).
“NCRTC has proposed an increase in the floor area ratio that can be purchased (far) from the current level of 1.5 to 4.
This means that in areas close to the RRTS station, additional construction will be permitted and that will produce more income.
The company too has proposed an increase in external development costs, “he added.
The cost of the RRTS project has been pegged at RS 30,724 Crore and the State Government share is Rs 6,500 Crore.
In 2019, the NCRTC has prepared a design center for the arrest of the first value for the corridor and proposed an increase in stamp duty for the area below the GDA of 1%.
But it was rejected by the Development Authority.
