New Delhi: The Ministry of Health Union on Friday approved another installment of RS 14744.99 Crore under the emergency package and Indian health system preparedness package (ECRP-II package) to all states and UTS.

It aims to accelerate the readiness of the health system to responsive immediately for early prevention, detection and management, with a focus on the construction of health infrastructure including children’s care and with measurable results.

The CSS component of the ECRP-II package will support the state and UTS for the manufacture of 827 pediatric units in the district which will produce an additional creation of 19,030 oxygen-supported beds and 10,440 ICU / HDU beds, and to add 23,056 ICU beds in the public healthcare system at Where 20 percent will be a pediatric ICU bed.

This will help to establish 203 field hospitals (50-100 bed units) depending on the requirements posed by the United States / UTS in Tier-II City or Level III and district headquarters who will assist in the creation of 13,065 beds supported Oxygen and to install 961 liquid medical oxygen storage tanks with support to 1,450 facilities for medical gas pipelines (MGPS), with the aim of supporting at least one unit per district.
It will be used to support the State and UTS in adding existing ambulances, with 5,768 ambulances of advanced life support (ALS) and basic support (BLS), among others and to meet the requirements of important drugs for Covid-19 management, including the creation of buffer shares among others.
Approval has been given to 740 districts in the United States and UTS to provide important drugs including stock buffers until the cost of Rs 1 Crore per district.
ECRP-I for RS 15,000 Crore ($ 2 billion) has been released to all states and UTS in April 2021 to prevent, detect and respond to threats posed by Covid-19.
