New Delhi: The Ministry of Health Union on Friday approved another installment of RS 14744.99 Crore under the emergency package and Indian health system preparedness package (ECRP-II package) to all states and UTS.
Given the second wave, it deployed to rural areas, peri-urban and tribal, and a developing pandemic situation, the United Cabinet approved a new scheme of ‘India Covid-19 Emergency and a Health System Package: Phase-II (ECRP -ii Package)’ at 8 July of Rs 23,123 Crore.
This scheme must be implemented from July 1, 2021 to March 31, 2022, the ministry said in a statement.
To track the implementation of the ECRP-II, on July 22, RS 1827.80 Crore has been released to the United States and UTS rose 15 percent to carry out preparation activities.
Furthermore, 35 percent of funds were released on Friday to the United States and UTS, thus, produced a total of 50 percent of funds to ensure the implementation of critical activities at the state and district levels to prepare a public health care system in response to a growing pandemic, said the statement .
This scheme is a sponsor scheme centered with several central sector components.
It aims to accelerate the readiness of the health system to responsive immediately for early prevention, detection and management, with a focus on the construction of health infrastructure including children’s care and with measurable results.
Under centrally sponsored (CSS), CSS) components (CSS), countries, and UTS have been supported by the approval method for the Covid (ECRP) emergency response plan with RS 14744.99 Crore tone.
The proposal for infrastructure to be created has been received from America.
The CSS component of the ECRP-II package will support the state and UTS for the manufacture of 827 pediatric units in the district which will produce an additional creation of 19,030 oxygen-supported beds and 10,440 ICU / HDU beds, and to add 23,056 ICU beds in the public healthcare system at Where 20 percent will be a pediatric ICU bed.
This package will help establish 42 pediatric excellence centers (Pediatric Coe), at least one in each state and UT, (both in medical institutions, state government hospitals or central hospitals such as AIIMS, INIS, etc.) to provide tele- ICU service, mentoring and holding technical hand to the district pediatric unit.
It will also support the country and UTS to provide closer care to the community because of the entry of Covid-19 in rural areas, peri-urban and tribal, by creating 8,010 pre-fabricated structures to add additional beds in existing CHCS, PHCS and SHC (6-20 units units) that will help in the manufacture of 75,218 oxygen-supported beds.
This will help to establish 203 field hospitals (50-100 bed units) depending on the requirements posed by the United States / UTS in Tier-II City or Level III and district headquarters who will assist in the creation of 13,065 beds supported Oxygen and to install 961 liquid medical oxygen storage tanks with support to 1,450 facilities for medical gas pipelines (MGPS), with the aim of supporting at least one unit per district.
It will be used to support the State and UTS in adding existing ambulances, with 5,768 ambulances of advanced life support (ALS) and basic support (BLS), among others and to meet the requirements of important drugs for Covid-19 management, including the creation of buffer shares among others.
Approval has been given to 740 districts in the United States and UTS to provide important drugs including stock buffers until the cost of Rs 1 Crore per district.
ECRP-I for RS 15,000 Crore ($ 2 billion) has been released to all states and UTS in April 2021 to prevent, detect and respond to threats posed by Covid-19.
