Coimbatore: The district was allocated Rs 14.32 crore for setup of micro irrigation methods at 2,155 hectares of agricultural crop lands.
The capital can be obtained for installing or installing trickle irrigation, altering spare components, sprinklers and rainwater firearms in the event of farmers that practice intercropping.
Farmers interested could contact their block assistant director of agriculture or even deputy manager of agriculture.
Though small and marginal farmers could avail 100 percent subsidy under the scheme, many others may avail a 75 percent subsidy for a maximum of five hectares or 12.5 acres.
To add much more beneficiaries, the section has also advised that farmers may avail this strategy to replace their trickle irrigation systems set to seven decades back.
“Individuals who’ve installed drip irrigation using their own funds may also submit an application for subsidy for installation at an uncovered region,” said the announcement.
“The funds may be utilized to set up electrical motors, both pipelines and building of water storage methods also,” it stated.
In addition, farmers may also avail a subsidy of Rs 10,000 for setup of conveyance pipes in origin to the area, Rs 15,000 for sale of electrical motor pumps and Rs 40,000 for structure of water storage arrangements to match from the crop’s water demands much during warm weather conditions.
