Rs 15 lakh on his head, Maois related to C’garh Carnage Dies of Covid-19

Raipur: One of the most sought-after Maoist leaders in Bastar, who was accused of carrying out the massacre of Congress members in Jhiramphati in May 2013 and hired the murder of BJP MLA Bhima Mandavi in April 2019, had died of Covid in the Sukma Bastar district.
Alias Hemla Hunga, 62, has been with Maois since 1997 and is the commander of ‘Division Darbha’, said Dantewada SP Abhishek Pallava.
Vinod died on July 12, he said.
There is a gift of Rs 15 lakh at him – RS 10 Lakh announced by the Chhattisgarh police, and RS 5 Lakh by the National Investigation Agency.
Vinod is among the half dozen top Maoist leaders who have died because Covid in Bastar about a month.
They included members of the Maoist Central Committee Haribhushan and his wife Sharda, who brought a combined gift of Rs 50 Lakh.
