Patna: At least four armed villains unknown to loot RS16.76 lakh from the Bank of India branch in Harpur Elaut under the Musrigharari police station in Samastipur Regency at around 12:58 a.m.
on Saturday.
Former Mukhiya Shashinath Jha (58) was shot dead under the area of ​​the same Musreatharari police station on Friday.
Darbhanga Range Ig Ajitabh Kumar said four criminals on the bike reached the bank and plundered Rs16.76 lakh from the iron cabinet and cash counter after taking staff and hostages in five minutes.
The bank branch is located on the track.
“Strangely, the branch manager does not press the alarm button to remind everyone.
There is no armed guard used in the branch for security,” he said.
IG, who reached the place, said the police had several instructions and this case would immediately break.
Samastipur SP Manavjit Singh Dhillon has taken an investigation after reaching the bank.
Ig said the police patrolled vehicle had reached the bank almost 15 minutes before the bank’s booty.

If the branch manager presses the alarm button, it will get there in a short time.
It looks like the manager panicked even though he sat in his room and near the alarm button,” he said.
Police Station Musrigharari Sho Sanjay Kumar Singh said the criminals entered the bank while disguising it as a customer and forced the bank staff to open an iron safe from where at least RS10 Lakh was looted.

There are seven bank employees and two customers in the branch at that time,” Sho said.
He said all the nine people were locked in the room before the criminals fled.
