Chennai: The DMK Government in Tamil Nadu has launched RS 1,000 Crore Kalnamar Nagarpura Kalnamar Plaza Thittam (KNMT) to fill the infrastructure gap in urban local agencies, especially the municipal and city Panchayat.
Immediately, every urban local body will begin a detailed survey of Ward-Wise and prepare an urban development plan (UDP) to get to know the availability or vice versa basic infrastructure.
The country has 14 companies, 121 cities and 528 panceshayats city.
While the mission of smart cities and amrup increases infrastructure 11 companies and 28 cities, the state government has come up with a new scheme to support the municipality and the city of Panchayats.
Providing 100% connection Tap Household, Sewer Link, and Road is a capital-intensive scheme and most of the prominent fields of urban local bodies are borne.
“The infrastructure gap is in many retarded areas / slums, and the new area is added from the municipality and Panchayat city,” said the city government and Secretary of Water Supply Das Meena said in a command, justifying the decision to provide preferences to these areas in down knmt.
Detailed surveys will see availability of water supply, sanitation, internal roads, street lights, funeral / crematoriums, and other community infrastructure.
As far as the road goes, the detailed network plan will be prepared, including all the main roads of various agents, national highways and states, and municipalities and city Panchayats (access and interior roads).
In connection with the supply of water, total demand, inventory and future needs will be included, based on where the ‘city water balance plan’ will be prepared for every local body.
Apart from the water supply, street lights and roads, guidelines issued for the implementation of schemes also suggest community infrastructure such as community space, markets and modern libraries with computers to help students and prospective jobs.
Modern Bus Cups, Water Agency Rejuvenation, Vehicle Procurement for Solid Waste Management, Park Development, Performances, Construction and Renovation of General Toilets will be pushed under the KNMT.
Tamil Nadu Urban Finance and Infrastructure Development Corporation Limited (Tufidco) is the Nodal Agency for the KNMT.
“The City Administrative Commissioner and Panchayats City will send proposals to the Nodal Agency which in turn will notify and install proposals to the sanctions committee and project monitoring for administrative approval and sanctions,” Shiv Das Meena said.
Working in places of worship or land owned by religion / religious groups, land acquisition, assets for individuals and work in schools and colleges assisted by governments and colleges are among those who are banned under the KNMT.
