RS 27CR DA Case: DVAC Looking for 50 Ex-TN Places Min

Chennai: C Vijayabaskar on Monday became a former fourth minister in the AIDMK government which will be raided by the Directorate of Allegiance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) on charges of assets collected in disproportionally with the sources of revenue stated.

Cash, 10 hard disks, and other burdensome documents relating to this case are confiscated.
Investigation will continue, said agency.
The former minister has a truck and mixer transit worth 6.6 crore, agricultural land in Kancheepuram for Rs 4 Crore and a house in T Nagar for Rs 14.57 Crore.
In the Puduktandai district only, the search was conducted in 28 locations from 7am on Monday, and four more places were added at night.
The DVAC team fanned the nine educational institutions for agriculture, paramedics, engineering, engineering and technology, polytechnic colleges, middle school matrikulation, nursing colleges, physical education and physiotherapy.
A team also looked for charity experiments Mother Teresa in Complex’s constel in Iluppur.
Rate Blue Metals and V infrastructure in Thiruvengiavasal in the Pudukkottai district are also raided.
In Trichy, DVAC searched four locations, including the residence of one Uthayakumar in Edamalapattipudhur and a flat in Gandhi Nagar.
In Coimbatore, DVAC invaded two places belonging to former Vijayabaskar’s father-in-law at Nanjundapuram Road in Coimbatore City and a private company in Pealamedu.
When the attack was in the former Minister of Kilpuk Residence, his former cabinet colleagues SP Velumani and P Thangamani, in addition to party cadres and lawyers held by Vigil outside the place until late afternoon.
