Lucknow: Gorakhpur, a city known as handsloom and terracotta crafts, is on a transformation trip.
In addition to the industrial scores that are being arranged, infrastructure development worth more than RS 30,000 Crore finally formed in the hometown of the Minister of Yogi Adtityanath.
The latest in the scheme list is a project to make Gorakhpur educational hubs such as Varanasi.
According to officials, the new RS 7000 crore fertilizer factory, which appeared in the old unit closed in the 90s, is expected to be operational in a month.
The factory is expected to produce 3,850 metric tons of fertilizers.
In addition, AIIMS, Gorakhpur has also been arranged.
Until now, OPD and MBBS studies have begun at the AIIMS campus.
According to officials at Gorakhpur Industrial Development Authority (GIDA), a total of 259 large and small industrialists have taken land to establish their units here since 2017.Till now, investment worth Rs 1000 Crore has been made in the area and the RS1500 Crore is more expected to be invested in end of year.
Multinational soft drink brands have searched 32 hectares of land to establish bottling factories.
The giant soft drink brand is expected to invest 200 crore and the factory expected to produce employment for 500 people.
Likewise, Aditya Birla Group also looks for 70 hectares of land to prepare a paint factory.
The Group is estimated to invest RS 700 Crore.
Free road construction construction – Varanasi links are expected to increase connectivity with the region.
The tourism sector has also seen large developments in the city with the beauty of Ramgarh Tal and roads that are adjacent to it as in the Marine Drive in Mumbai.
The area with the locals is now called Marine Drive of Gorakhpur.

While some other development jobs are underway, the city has taken a giant leap as far as the development of the education sector is concerned.
The city only has two higher education institutions, Deen Dayal Upadhayaya University and Mohan Mohan Malviya Institute of Engineering, now it will have two more.
RAM President Nath Kovid, who was a four-day visit to Uttar Pradesh, will reach Gorakhpur on August 28 and put the stone foundation of the University of Mahayogi Gorakhnath.
The President is also expected to inaugurate the Mahayogi Gorakhnath engineering University.
Likewise, to increase the participation of young people from the region, the Batu Foundation has been placed for the state government that runs Ayush University.
The two universities were named after the Nath Sect of Father Mahayogi Teacher Gorakhshnath.
Ayush University near Pipri and Tarkulahi on the Bhatic Block will be spread in 52 hectares of land.
This will be the first Ayush University in the state.
One campus will have a Ayurved, Unani, Homeopathy and Yog treatment department.
All Ayush 95 colleges will be affiliated with this university.
