Rs 317 Crore for the welfare of Tamils in camps

Chennai: Head of Minister of Tamil Nadu M K Stalin on Friday announced the welfare measures in an ₹ 317.4 crore tone to improve the condition of the life of Tamil Sri Lanka in refugee camps in the state.
CM made an announcement based on rule 110 and said the government would ensure “safe and dignified life” for Tamil Sri lyrics living in the state.
The government plans a scheme based on reviews on basic facilities in Sri Lankan refugee camps in the state, he said.
“Every time the DMK is in power, it needs steps to ensure their livelihoods,” he added.
He said a total of 3,04,269 Lanka Tamils, who came to TN from 1983, lived in the state.
From them, 58,822 lived in 108 camps, including two special camps, at 29 districts.
The government will reconstruct 7,469 houses in a camp at a camp ₹ 231.54 crore.
A total of 3,510 houses will be reconstructed in the first phase with a fee of ₹ 108.89 Crore this fiscal year.
The government will allocate crore ₹ 30 to provide basic facilities in this year’s camp, he added in the middle of the motorbike.
On the educational front for the Tamil Sri Lanka ward, CM said the government would expand free education and accommodation to 50 students, which scored high, to pursue technical courses.
Likewise, the government will bear all the costs of students who pursue post graduates.
This will bear the cost of education of five students, who score high, to pursue agricultural courses.
The government will enhance scholarships for students and monthly distribution to family heads from ₹ 1,000 and ₹ 1,500, adults from $ 750 and ₹ 500 to ₹ 500.
The government has allocated ₹ 6.16 crore to withdraw loans to women shg in camp- The camp, he said, and added that the consultative committee would be formed to see the welfare of Tamil Sri Lanka in camps.
