Aurangabad: The revised financial assistance package was announced by the powerful MVA government has increased compensation for the rain-hit farmers from eight regions of the Marathwada region to Rs 3,762.2 Crore.
This is Rs 1,176.3 Crore more than the previous number of RS 2,585.9 Crore works in accordance with the Norma Disaster Disaster Response (SDRF).
S Dharurkar, Deputy Secretary of State Revenue and Ministry of Forestry, announced the revised compensation through the recent government settlement.
This means compensation for damaged irrigation plants has increased from RS 13,500 per hectare as stipulated in the Norms of SDRF to Rs 15,000 per hectare.
Likewise, compensation for damage to agricultural land fed rain rose from Rs 6,800 per hectare to rs 10,000 per hectare.
For annual gardens and plants, compensation has been raised from RS 18,000 per hectare to RS25,000 per hectare.
“Beneficiaries must be decided based on Pinamas damage to plants.
The amount of assistance must be transferred directly to the registered bank account of this farmer,” Dharurkar said.
Revised financial assistance is expected to benefit 47.7 lakh farmers affected.
Bed District is scheduled to get a maximum RS 669.8 Crore relief relief for farmers, followed by Nanded (RS 567.1 Crore), Aurangabad (RS 555.4 Crore), Jalna (RS 566.8 Crore), Latur (RS 448.7 Crore), Parbhani (RS 340.2 Crore )), Osmanabad (RS 316.8 Crore) and Hingoli (RS 297.2 Crore), said an official.
