VARANATION: The cost of Rs 4.70 Crore will be made for power connections and RS 9.09 Crore will be spent on furniture for the Kashi Vishwanath Dham (corridor) area developed at 5.30 lakh SQM with an investment of more than Rs 700 Crore.
The budget of RS 42.09 Crore for the financial year 2021-22 was passed at the fifth meeting of the Special Area Development Board of Shri Kashi Vishwanath (SKVSAD) chaired by the Division Commissioner and Chairperson of the Deepak Agrawal Board, on Saturday afternoon.
During the meeting, the proposal to find power connections, the procurement of security equipment, furniture and consultant pointer to run buildings in the Dham KV area which will generate revenue for the Board is also approved.
Regarding the decision taken at the meeting, the Chief Executive of the KVT and Secretary of the Council of Sunil Verma, on Sunday, said, “Estimated power connections for the Dham KV area have been completed, as will be paid by Rs 4.70 Crore to the Electricity Department.
The budget for connection Power has been approved by the Board.
“Apart from the old temples, the Dham KV area will have 24 buildings.
Proposals for furniture, including inside and outdoors, are estimated to cost RS 9.09 Crore, also approved by the Board.
For the procurement and installation of security equipment and gadgets in KV DWN, which also accommodates very sensitive Gyanvapi Mosque sites, estimates of RS 5.47 Crore also approved by the Board, he said.
Officials say that this budget will be spent on the procurement of moving components such as 31 metal detectors door frames (DFMD), 47 handheld metal detectors (HHMD), 19 fast-fast booths and 11 x-ray luggage scanners are not part of the project.
Verma said that the method for using and running buildings in the DHAM KV area was also discussed after it was decided to appoint transactional advisors that would provide a building operation model that would also generate income for other temple boards.
The decision to form a joint committee of Temple Trust and District Administrative Officers to estimate expected expenditures for this project was also taken by officials at the meeting.
The board also passes the KVT beauty layout and expanding functions in accordance with a detailed project report that has been approved from KV Dham, he said.
The Board also provides approval to build boundary walls and beauty of all areas purchased after giving sanctions in the DPR, said Verma added that the documentation of all the properties obtained by the project will also be carried out.
Approved by the Yogi Adityanath government in December 2017, work on the DHAM KV project began with buying and destroying 296 structures.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has laid the foundation of the project on March 9, 2018 and is scheduled to be completed at the end of November.
