RS 400 Crore Value of Rain Plants in Kerala: Minister P Prasad

ThiruvananThapuram: Heavy rain which continues to reduce almost all Kerala districts for the past few days has caused damage to agricultural plants worth Rs 400 Crore, a state minister said.

Prasad told the media on Monday that plant damage was around Rs 400 Crore.
“We will now approach the compensation center and for that to happen, we ask everyone who suffer damage to their plants in the next 10 days to raise their requests,” Prasad said.
Heavy rains have thrown life outside the equipment in many parts of Kerala including the state capital of Thiruvananthapuram, in addition to Kollam, Alappuzha, Pathanamthitta, Ernakulam, and Kasargod.
The Chairman of Pinarayi Vijayan’s Minister has asked people to be careful in the next few days after heavy rains that have hit the country.
On Monday in the Capital District of the State, two deaths have been reported when a tribal man was found dead after being washed, while a four-year-old daughter fell to the overflowing and dead road.
With these two deaths, the death toll because heavy rain has increased to five, after three deaths occurred on Sunday.
The consequence of the rain, the government stated holidays for educational institutions in nine countries.
