Jorat: Assam CM Himanta Buswa Sarma on Wednesday announced Rs 5 Crore for infrastructure development from Athkhelia Namhar Historic in Golaghat Regency on the first day of Bhado Bhade.
Sarma visited Athkhelia Namhar and prayed.
During the visit, he inaugurated the office building at Namhar’s place.
While overcoming worshipers at Namhar, Sarma said Athkhelia Namhar had significantly contributed to the spiritual revival in the state and promoting peace, harmony, and friendship among all parts of society.
He appreciated Namhar’s role in looking forward to the teachings and values of Mahapurush Srimanta Sankardeva and Sri Sri Madhavdeva.
During his daily visit, Sarma inaugurated an intensive care unit of 10 beds (ICU) at Civil Hospital Konwar Kushal in Golaghat to fight Covid.
Sarma was accompanied by the Minister of Agriculture Atul Bora, Minister of Health Welfare and the Keshab Mahanta Family, Minister of Finance Ajanta Neog, MP Kamakhya Prasad Tasa, MLAS Bisang Phukan and Bhaskar recently.
The minister said said the oxygen plant adjacent to Ward ICU would further improve critical care.
He also reviewed the situation of the pandemic, care and vaccination and the status of various development programs in the Golaghat district.
