Noida: Real Estate Developers were slapped with a 5-lakh RS penalty for sustainable construction work on housing projects and caused air pollution to violate the guidelines in Greater Noida on Tuesday, officials said.
The developer has been directed to send a good amount within 15 working days and sprinkle water on the site to check pollution, said the official authority of the Industrial Development Noida (Gnida).
“We received information about construction work on the Coco County Housing Project by developers of Shirja Personal Real Estate Solutions Limited after the Gnida team led by Senior Manager Shyodan Singh examined the site,” said an official Gnida.
“The information was found correctly and construction work caused pollution, therefore a fine of RS 5 Lakh was applied to the developer, which had been given two weeks to send the number,” the official added.
Meanwhile, CEO of Gnida Narendra Bhoooshan begged Greater Noida residents to work together in checking pollution by following the best practices such as not burning waste or raising dust.
He also appealed to the population to take part in the anti-pollution guidelines issued by the National Green Tribunal, the State Pollution Control Board and local authorities.
“People with complaints related to pollution can contact Gnida at 0120-2336046 / 47/48/49 for transferring their problems and also use the WhatsApp 8800203912 number,” BhooShan said.
