Style: Municipal Corporation Style Administration (GMC) has decided for a while distributing 5x4ft space for each vendor in K P P Road to run their business and get a free path from encroachment.
In terms of penetrating the road, a penalty ranges from RS5,000 and RS20,000 will be imposed on violator rules.
GMC has a plan to distribute space to more than 300 vendors.
Deputy Deputy Mayor Akhauri Onkarnath aka Mohan Shrivastava said the ongoing work to expand Jalan GB and Jalan KP in the city area aimed at facilitating traffic congestion.
“Widening GB Road from Peer MANSOOR MOR for New Godown Mor is finished, while working in KP Road is in progress.
Now, Jalan GB will be 60 feet and Jalan KP 90 feet wide.
Widening work is being carried out with an estimated RS6 crore cost,” he said.
“According to the beauty plan, there will be a median strip on KP Street for street lights.
On Jalan GB, street lights have been installed.
For beauty purposes, the plantation will be carried out on the median road KP,” he said.
“There is also a proposal to shift the roadside electricity pole to the median strip on Jalan KP and on the one hand GB,” Shrivastava said.
