RS 65K sucks from a bank account

Coimbatore: 78-year-old resident tulur loses Rs 65,000 from his bank account to online fraudsters on Thursday.

He clicked on the link, which directed him to the fake SBI page.
He entered a username and password, accepted OTP and entered OTP too.
Meanwhile, Rs 65,000 is debited from his account in three installments.
He filed a complaint to the National Crime Records Portal (NCRB) portal and filed a complaint with the coimbatore Rural Cybercrime InspectorS S 2000.Spector Jayadevi said that senior citizens, most retirees were targeted by the gang.
“We work to collect gang details, which are based in North India.
We also tried to find out how the gang got a cellphone number of senior citizens,” the officer said.
“Senior citizens should not click on the link sent by unknown people.
They must approach bank officials directly or by telephone.
