Madhepura: Criminals transmitted by motorbikes looted Rs 9.25 lakh cash at the wall point from Uttar Bihar Gramin Bank in Kumarkhand under the same police station in the Madhepura district on Thursday.
The criminals also robbed branch managers, Chandan Kumar, from their personal belongings, including their cellphones.
“Six criminals on two motorbikes entered the bank disguised as customers around 12 noon.
They beat staff in Gunpoint and loot cash,” police said.
The bank branch manager said the criminals covered their faces with masks.
“They even threatened to shoot staff if anyone lifted alarm.
One or two customers attended the bank during the incident,” added the manager.
Madhepura Sp Rajesh Kumar said the police team led by Sdpo Ajay Narayan Yadav rushed to a place to check CCTV footage.
