New Delhi: Rajya Sabha on Thursday passed the constitutional bill (Amendment) (Amendment), 2021, which tried to change the constitutional list of tribes scheduled as recommended by Arunachal Pradesh.
The bill was passed by sounds in the middle of protest by opposition to Pegasus’s problems, Agri law and others.
Tribal affairs Arjun Munda said, “This bill will justice for tribes.
Please support and approve the bill.” The bill was introduced at Rajya Sabha by Munda on August 2, 2021 at this time, there were 18 communities with their synonyms emerged in the list of illustration of the tribal scheduled in connection with the state of Pradesh Arunachal.
On the basis of the recommendation of the state of Arunachal Pradesh, this bill provides to modify the Section-XVIII of the constitutional junction schedule (Tribes scheduled), 1950, related to the country of Pradesh Arunachal.
It provides the removal of ‘abor’ (tribe) in Serial No.
1, because the same as ‘Adi’ in Serial No.
16.
Second, it proposes to replace ‘Tai Khamti’ instead of ‘khampti’ in the series.
6 from the list.
It also provides the inclusion of ‘Mishmi-Kaman (Miju Mishmi)’, ‘IDU (Mishmi)’ and ‘Taron (Digaru Mishmi)’ in Serial No.
8 As a substitute for ‘Mishmi, Idu, Taroan’ in the list.
It provides for the inclusion of ‘MONPA’, ‘Melba’, ‘SARTANG’, ‘SAJANGANG (MIJI)’ in Serial No.
9 As a substitute for ‘Msa’ in the list.
It also provides the inclusion of ‘Nocte’, ‘Tangsa’, ‘Tutsa’, ‘Wancho’ instead of ‘every dragon tribe’ in Serial No.
10 of the list.
Amendments in the list of scheduled tribes related to Arunachal Pradesh state will require no repetitive expenditure of Indian consolidation funds because of the benefits that might be given to the people proposed in the bill.
The ministry has funded the welfare of 10.45 crores of the scheduled tribal population (census, 2011).
Furthermore, the scheduled tribe also qualified for benefits under the components of the Scheduled Tribe (STC) scheme under the Central Government and state government.
Banda Prakash (TRS), M Thambidurai (AADMK), K Somaprasad (CPM), Fauzia Khan (NCP), Manoj Jha (RJD) and S K Gupta (AAP) spoke briefly on the bill and supporting it.
