Nagpur: Three armed goons looted RS2.30 lakh cash from the gas station at Ujjwal Nagar at Wardha Road shortly after Monday midnight.
The gas station is only a few hundred meters from the Sonegaon police station.
Police said two security guards had closed the pump and maintained cash in the office after working hours.
Three robbers came in four-wheeled vehicles, which they parked near a hotel in Wardha Road.
They walked to the gas station and called security personnel.
As soon as security personnel out of the office, the proones attacked them and threatened the knife.
Two of them then broke into the office while someone stood outside to keep the watch.
The gambil put their hands on RS2.30 lakh cash and closed in the car to Narendra Nagar.
The source states that gas stations have been targeted by robbers in the past.
