RS249CR is allocated for roads, but does not end with a hole in the city

Nagpur: The road in Nagpur is in bad condition.
Holes, crater, tearing surfaces, cracks are some of the attributes of the residents ‘features’ to the city road.
In addition, the pathetic road conditions are the main causes of accidents every day, many of which are not reported.
Even after Nagpur Municipal Corporation (NMC) recorded RS249.57 Crore for walking in the current year budget, the road conditions deteriorated every day.
According to information obtained from the NMC account and the Ministry of Finance, the Civic body obtained RS933 Crore in five months of current fiscal.
From the provisions budgeted, RS153 Crore is for Cement Road, while only RS96 Crore is provided for Jalan Tar.
However, despite the allocation, NMC has not spent funds to improve road infrastructure.
To handle it all, the rain has caused great damage to the road, making them dangerous to drive.
NMC has claimed to have fixed 9,993 holes so far, with more than 50% between June 1 and August 30, data was revealed.
Prolonged rain spells have created more than 5,101 holes, revealing the data of the NMC Hotmix Department.
Data also revealed that the department had not improved 2,973 holes under four zones – Mangalwari (1,847), Ashi Nagar (245), Dhantoli (564) and Hanuman Nagar (317).
A number of holes have been formed in most roads throughout the city, while the topping of the bitumen has been horned in several stretches, exposing work and maintenance of poor quality by civilian bodies.
An official from the Hotmix department blamed heavy rain for a bad road.
In most cases, the black topping of the newly repaired road has also been removed due to rainwater.
“Countless holes do not leave space to maneuver vehicles.
Apart from the physical discomfort to the driver, the vehicle also beat,” said the driver who complained, said that he did not provide a freeway on a high court, which had taken NMC assignments.
Avinash Waghchore, a driver who has a magic escape after two-wheeled vehicles slipped on one road like that, claiming that he was fortunate to escape after he met an accident because of loose bitumen in Rabindranath Tagore Road on the civil line.
He said even though NMC ignored a hole, at least had to ensure that loose bitumen was removed from the road.
Because loose bitumen, a small accident involving two-wheel has improved manifold, said the driver.
“Why aren’t the authorities take action? Why can’t we have a hole-free way? How long does the driver will suffer because of the apathy of the official? Will they act only after someone from their families falls victim in an accident on the road due to poor road conditions?” – These are some questions raised by road users.
Many motorists also show that the problem is not limited to the rainy season.
When it rains and dry roads, the vehicle kicks a heavy dust storm, dazzling other drivers on the road that is so well maintained.
Corporator Congress Kamlesh Chowdhary wondered why NMC ignored road repairs even when earning RS933 crore income.
“Even though residents pay taxes, the BJP in power gives them a walk ridden by Pothole,” he said.
The Chairperson of the Committee remained Prakash Bhoyar acknowledged that the city road conditions had deteriorated.
“At a general body meeting that was recently concluded, the Mayor of Dayashankar Tiwari has directed the administration to repair the road without delay,” he said.
During the same meeting, the Commissioner of the City of Radhakrishnan B has quoted a crunch of funds.
Bhoyar said the re-adjustment of various heads will be made to make additional conditions to increase city roads.
