Dharwad: Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh on Saturday said religious conversion must stop and those who change their faith must announce it.
Sangh also said that it would be welcomed if there was an anti-conversion bill passed.
“Conversion must be stopped and the converted people must announce that they have repented.
There are people who repent and do not reveal that they have repented.
They took a double benefit,” said Secretary General RSS Dattatreya Hosabale at a press conference here.
He was talking to reporters at the end of the three-day meeting Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari Mandal (ABKM) from Sangh here.
He said RSS per se did not oppose voluntary conversion from one religion to another but forced conversion by the minority community.
Only to increase their number is not acceptable.
The opposition by the minority community on anti-conversion law expresses their intention.
Already 10 states have passed the law and have the Government of Congress in Himachal Pradesh.
In Karnataka, let the law be passed.
If there are shortcomings, amendments can be made.
It is not true to oppose the law even before being passed, Hosabale said other countries would increase Indian prestige.
For a query about population policies, Hosabale said that every country must have a population policy that must be applied to all.
He also said the Sangh had issued a resolution for this effect a few years ago.
Another question, Hosaabale said the central government led by BJP has stated that it will bring a uniform civil code and hope it will follow his words.
When asked about the proposal to ban burst firecrackers during Deepavali, he said environmental protection was a major concern and it must be an ongoing activity.
“Why does this question just appear during Deepavali? If it will be prohibited there must be a comprehensive plan.
Banning Cracker right in front of the festival will cause a big loss for manufacturers and traders and hit those who work in cracker factories,” he must take the law into their hands .
“However, when a person’s feelings hurt would definitely be a reaction.
But it did not justify taking the law to their hands,” he emphasized RSS also planned to expand his activities to areas that did not have Shakhas. In Nagaland and the Mizoram percentage of the Hindu population was very small And hence the amount of small shakha there.
In Meghalaya RSS moves in social services while in Ladakh there is a shapper.
Lakshadweep has a unit that meets once a week, he said.
Hosabale said some people participated in the country’s freedom movement and sacrificed their lives found no place in historical pages.
RSS will take a program to commemorate the sacrifice of unsung heroes and tell about them to the present generation.
