Bengaluru: RSS on Saturday welcomed the meeting of Prime Minister Narendra Modi with Pope Francis at the Vatican who said that the meeting increased the nation’s prestige.
“What’s wrong if the head of the government meets anyone in the civil system in the world? We welcome it because we believe in ‘Vasudhava Kutumbak’ (the world is a family).
We appreciate all religions,” General RSS Secretary Dattatreya Hosabale told reporters at here.
He was talking to reporters on the last day of the meeting Akhil Bharatiya Karyakari (ABKM) three days.
“It’s nice that the prime minister meets the head of another country and increases the prestige of our nation,” Hosabale said.
He also stated that it was for the head of the government to meet with the head of another government and the decision was handed over to the government they wanted to meet.
