Mumbai: Given the new mutation of the SARS-COV-2 variant, BMC on Thursday said passengers arrived or transit at Mumbai Airport from England, Europe, Middle East, South Africa, Brazil, Bangladesh, Botswana, China, Mauritius, New Zealand and Zimbabwe must be subject to RT-PCR tests that are paid for themselves at the RS600 cost upon arrival, from September 3.
The testing capacity is 600 passengers per hour.
According to the new guidelines, the exception provided in accordance with the previous circular will not apply, such as the total Covid-19 vaccination and passengers over 65.
All passengers have to leave Mumbai airport or to take their connecting flight -PCR test reports in distance 72 hours since travel and can leave the airport.
The RT-PCR test will not be mandatory for the passenger on arrival at Mumbai airport.
Passengers must submit the self declaration form and do the officers at the airport and will become a 14-day quarantine house.
