Ghaziabad: After more than a year of launch, the RT-PCR laboratory at the MMG District Hospital received RNA extractors which would help double the facility testing capacity.
The staff said once the machine became operational, they could check around 2,000 samples every day.
Surbhi Dixit, one of two non-medical scientists in the laboratory, said: “We accept RNA extractors on Friday and an engineer will visit the lab on Wednesday to prepare it.
The machine tends to be functional in the next two weeks.” Dixit said they would requires several kits for machines and they have not received them from the government.
Dr.
RK Gupta District Supervision Officer said: “The machine will help us with a lower labor swimming pool with a lower labor rate if the sample petition is increasing in the district.”
