Patna: Minister of Health Mangal Pandey on Thursday said the RT-PCR laboratory will be arranged in all conscious hospitals in the state immediately to conduct covid tests.
The minister, who inaugurated the RT-PCR lab at Siwan Sawar Hospital, said Siwan is the 10th district in the state to get the facility.
“At least 96 samples can be tested at a time and 1,000 samples in a day in the lab.
Even though there is only one virological lab in this country before the Pandemic Covid-19, it has passed 2,500-mark now,” he said.
Pandey said the CT scan machine will also be installed in a conscious conscious hospital for the tender process has been completed.
He added, “Along with all these facilities, oxygen plants at Anumandal Hospital Maharajanj and Siwan Hospital are also established.” The Minister said health facilities in the state are being reinforced to face future challenges.
“Apart from medical and hospital colleges, modern equipment is being installed even in public health centers in the state,” Minister said.
Meanwhile, 58 doctors have been posted to places where their partner works.
The State Health Department had previously searched for applications from the doctor’s partner posted in a different place.
It has received 60 applications.
Among applicants, 38 were women and 23 male doctors.
