Ranchi: Universitas Ranchi (RU) academic council on Friday approved a proposal regarding separate faculties for tribal languages other than ratifying schemes for new courses at universities and colleges.
The meeting chaired by the acting representative of Chancellor Kasihel Kumar approved a proposal to establish a tribal faculty, which is currently associated with the Faculty of Humanities.
Under the plan, the university will issue a notification to establish a separate department for each of the nine tribal languages taught in its place.
In addition, the meeting approved the beginning of the undergraduate courses in Klortha in Ram Lakhan Singh College with a retrospective effect.
The university order to start the course in Panchparania in Doranda College also got a nod of the council.
Postgraduate courses (PG) in Nagpuri in JN College are also approved.
Pritam Pritam Pritam Ranchi University said, “This step is intended to study the study in tribal language.
At present, nine languages of tribes taught in RU are under the Department of Tribe and Regional Language.” Proposal to start a post-doctoral fellowship course in intensive care.
The Anesthetic Department at the Rajendra Medical Sciences Institute was also approved.
The university supports proposals to start the National Cadet Corps as an elective subject in universities where there are related units and registered students.
Another plan to start a six-month certificate course in gender equality under the Department of Social Sciences and at the college level is accepted.
Syllabus Course will be prepared by the female complaint cell internal committee.
Likewise, starting from the PG course in Hindi, History, Political Science, Psychology, Economics, Geography, Khadia, Nagpuri and Mundari at Simdega College also approved post-facto.
The proposal to start the PG course in a subject with two regular teachers at PPK College Bundu was also approved.
