Chandigarh: Former Punjab head Minister Amarinder Singh on Sunday destroyed a claim of a state minister regarding the possibility of his meeting with Gandhis and returned to Congress, saying there was no question to look back.
He said one of the ministers in the Punjab government had claimed that he would meet with the President of Congress Sonia Gandhi and former Congress’s head Rahul Gandhi and returned to the party.
“This is an evil and naughty assumption that seems made with hidden motives,” Singh said in a statement here.
He insisted that there were no questions about his appeared back.
The former main minister said he formed his party and gave a touch of finishing to organizational settings.
“We are waiting for our party registration, Punjab Lok Congress, by the Indian Election Commission and the party symbol allotment,” he added.
Singh came out of the congress on November 2 and accused Sonia Gandhi, Rahul Gandhi and Priyanka Gandhi Vadra hatched “midnight conspiracy” to rub it from the state government.
He has resigned as the main minister in September amid the upheaval of the bitter strength with the Head of the Punjab Congress Navjot Singh Sidhu.
Chararjit Singh Channi has replaced Amarinder Singh.
