Ruckus in prison for food quality, ‘extortion’

Ballia: Prisoners in the district prison here pelted stones and face tear gas in violence that seem to erupt the quality of food and “extortion”.
Violence continues for more than two hours on Wednesday night.
According to the police, two groups of detainees were lap with stones and told officials that they were also upset because they were served pumpkins for the last “three months”.
Regarding the information about the incident, Aditi Singh Subdistrict judge and the Vipin Police Supervisory Tada reached a heavy police, said a senior official, added that the situation was brought under control after about two and a half hours, using tear gas shells.
According to officers, the detainees told them that they were served by pumpkins in the last “three months” and upset of the offer “extortion”.
Additional supervisor of Police Sanjay Yadav said a case had been registered against unknown prisoners about complaints from Deputy Jailor Bihari Singh.
The complaint said Detention of Barrack Nos.
2A, 2B, 3A, 3B and 4 pamper violence and also causes slogans to district administration.
The prisoners were calmed and no one was injured in the incident, said DM.
For a question, DM said police forces were called from other districts also to control the situation.
