Nagpur: Although new guidelines allow vaccination for breastfeeding and pregnant women, some beneficiaries of the rural part are allegedly forced to choose paid vaccinations in private hospitals in the city or take the ‘fitness certificate’ of the doctors who take care of them.
Some specialists in City have now provided stamp ‘can take vaccines’ for patients like that approaching them.
They accused that ‘ignorance’ as such among rural vaccinators will further slow down the Covid vaccination program in addition to doubts among people.
Also, doctors deploy various requests from their patients ranging from asthma problems, heart to impotence.
CEO Zilla Parishad Yogesh Kumbhejkar said if they found out certain places where the vaccination was looking for a fitness certificate, they would take action.
“There are no instructions to find a fitness certificate of all types of beneficiaries.
PHC staff should not refer beneficiaries to private hospitals.
They should do all the examinations and there are very few contra-indications,” he said.
Kumbhejkar added that the Nagpur District had fluently vaccinated with rural centers that crossed the dose of 10lakh on Tuesday.
Zilla Parishad has set a target of vaccination 16LAKH People.dr Rajesh Swarnakar, Head of Pulmonology and Director of Hospital Getwell, said allergy patients and asthma did not get vaccines in the center.
“Exceptions are clearly mentioned and must be asked for beneficiaries.
If the response is ‘no’, they can be easily vaccinated.
But the vaccination does not ask these questions but tell them to write it in writing from your doctor.
They come to City just to make I wrote ‘Van took the vaccine’, “he said.
Ad Swarnakar added that vaccination must be done immediately at the first receiver.
“Some patients prefer to vaccinate in our center instead of bringing back certificates,” he said.
Rashmi Shinde, a gynecologist consultant and obstetrician at Alexis Hospital, also had to issue a fitness certificate for one of the patients with Ante-Christmas care.
“He went to the city government vaccination center where they asked him to consult a doctor.
He called me and I talked to the staff but they insisted on the certificate.
He then came for a routine examination and took a certificate,” he said.
Perkqueries from people about vaccination to city doctors also show that government staff deployed in the task were apathetic or themselves unsure.
Expert expert Khan many patients ask whether they can take vaccines or not.
“Another general question is what must be taken.
We tell them both are safe and they have to take ever available,” he said.
DR ASHOK Arbat also said asthma and COPD patients did come to clean up their doubts.
But he said no one among his patients who asked for a fitness certificate.
