Speaking with Toi, Deputy Commissioner Chamba D Rana, “From Wednesday, we began a travel awareness across the district especially in tourist attractions, including Dalhousie, Khajjiar, City Chamba, where the number of tourists increased.” Asked whether the number of Covid-19 cases had increased the post to open the border for tourists from other places, the Deputy Commissioner said, “We are still in the second wave of Covid-19.

Kapil Sharma said there were currently around 200 positive cases in Chamba with the majority of cases in the district interior area.
He said that there was no increase in the number of Covid-19 cases in Chamba after the opening of the border by the state but both tourists and locals must follow the appropriate Covid behavior.
He said they continued to test in tourist places, including Dalhousie, Banikhet and Khajjiar.
