Moscow: Russia has begun to supply India with the S-400 air defense missile system, Russian news agent reported on Sunday quoted Dmitry Shugayev, Head of the Russian military cooperation agency.
Equipment places India at the risk of sanctions from the United States under the 2017 US law intended to prevent countries from buying Russian military hardware.
“The first equipment has begun,” Interfax quoted Shugayev said on Sunday at a aerospace trading show in Dubai.
He said that the first unit of the S-400 system would arrive in India at the end of this year.
