Russia blocks the website connected with Kremin Khodorkovsky criticism

Moscow: Human Rights Group and two media outlets related to the criticism of the Kremlin who were exiled owned by Mikhail Khodorkovsky said on Thursday they closed the pressure from the authorities after their website was blocked.
Russian opposition said the authorities increased the intimidation campaign against independent media and dissidents exploring parliamentary polls in September.
The Kremlin has rejected this claim.
On Wednesday night, Russian internet watchdog Roskomnadzor limited access to open media websites and MBKH media, as well as the Pravozashchita Otkrytki Pravozashchita Human Group website after requests from the prosecutor, they said.
On Thursday, media outlets and rights groups said they were deadly to protect staff from prosecution.
Veronika Kutsyllo, the former head of the Editor of MBKH Media, said the risk of “too big” for media outlets to continue to operate.
“This country quickly fell into the extraordinary darkness of feudal,” he said on Facebook.
In a statement on Twitter, Open Media said that Russian authorities did not want critical media.
“But at least we try,” he said.
Both media outlets were founded by Khodorkovsky in 2017 and the Kremlin Kremlin.
A number of independent media organizations and groups have been banned in Russia in recent months as part of increased crackdown on opposition ahead of parliamentary elections in September.
Open Russia, an opposition group founded Khodorkovsky, appointed as an “undesirable” organization in Russia in 2017 in line with the law targeting foreign groups accused.
In May, the group said it closed to protect its members from prosecution.
Pivovarov, former Russian Open Executive Director, was withdrawn from the aircraft bound by Warsaw in June and is currently in pre-trial detention.
39-year-old people face up to six years in prison for their involvement in the organization “undesirable”.
Khodorkovsky, who has a giant yukos oil before he was punished in two controversial cases and spent a decade behind bars, now lived abroad.
In July, the authorities prohibited the proekt, one of the last independent media outlets in the country which focused on depth reporting into the Russian elite wealth including President Vladimir Putin.
The main editor of Roman Body has left Russia.
The same month as the media regulator blocked 49 websites that were linked to the critics of cremlin which were imprisoned by Alexei Navalny including the main website navalny.com.
The election of the Russian parliament will be held from September 17 to September 19.
On Wednesday, the international monitor said they would not send observers to Russia for the September election because of the Russian number of the Russian authorities.
