The United Nations: Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov titled Saturday in the United States to take a more active approach to help continue the traffic jam that aims to revive Iran’s nuclear agreement.
“It seems proven they must be more active” in “resolving all related problems” with an agreement, Lavrov told reporters at the United Nations in New York.
Lavrov added that he hoped negotiations in Vienna among Iran, Russia, China, France, England and Germany would continue “as soon as possible”.
Talks, brown by Europeans, looked for the return of the United States to the 2015 agreement destroyed by former President Donald Trump – and returned to Iran’s full compliance.
Trump attracted America in 2018, restoring sanctions on Iran that Washington had been lifted as part of the agreement.
Since then, Tehran has also resigned from many commitments.
Substitute Trump, Joe Biden has indicated that he wants to return to the agreement, but his government has expressed impatience to jammed talks.
Discussions between Iran and the five remaining parties aimed at reviving the agreement began in Vienna in April but had been suspended since June, when Ultrakonservatif Ebrahim Relisi was elected president.
The hope of reviving the agreement would live earlier this month when Iran approved a new compromise with the UN nuclear body on monitoring its nuclear facilities.
Iranian Foreign Minister Hossein Amir-Abdollahian, said on Friday, the talks will continue “soon,” but the United States said Tehran was not yet specific about the period of time.
