Moscow: The Russian Foreign Ministry said on Friday summoned the US Ambassador in Moscow for US technology giant disorders in elections in Russia, which was stipulated to hold parliamentary polls this month.
Russia has recently increased control of the Internet segment and has taken legal action against foreign technology companies because it does not delete content prohibited by the authorities.
“There is one reason – interference in the Russian election.
We hope this is how American diplomats will report it to Washington,” Maria Zakharova’s ministry spokesman said about the telegram.
In a separate statement, the Ministry said the Ambassador John Sullivan on Friday held a meeting with the Russian representative of the Foreign Minister Sergei Ryabkov.
He added that Sullivan was presented with “undeniable evidence” of US technology giants who violated Russian law in the upcoming election context to the lower state of the Duma.
The ministry also said that it delivered “categorical inability to interference in our country’s domestic affairs”.
High tensions between Moscow and Washington for various problems, including interference claims in US elections and Russian human rights records.
In May, Russia officially stipulates the United States of America “unfriendly”, except for the hire of Russian citizens.
