Moscow: Russia warns on Monday the possibility of increasing this autumn West Nile virus infection as a light temperature and severe precipitation creates favorable conditions for mosquitoes that carry it.
Initially from Africa, the virus had spread in Europe, Asia and North America.
It is mainly transmitted through mosquito bites and can cause fatal neurological diseases in humans, even though most infected people have never developed any symptoms.
Scientists say that lighter temperatures associated with climate change can cause diseases such as the Western Nile virus to become wider.

This virus causes Western Nile fever in about 20% of cases, the World Health Organization (WHO) said.
This is related to the Zika virus, dengue and yellow fever.
More than 80% of Russian West Nile fever cases were recorded in the western region.
There is no vaccine against viruses in humans even though there is for horses, WHO said.
