Moscow: Russia has begun to provide the S-400 Triumf Surface-to-Air Missile Systems to India, and shipping will be planned, the Federal Service Director for Military Technical Cooperation (FSMTC) Dmitry Shugaev told Sputnik in front of Dubai air shows.
“The supply of the S-400 air defense system to India has begun and continues the schedule,” Shugaev said.
The S-400 has entered services in China and Turkey.
Russia and India signed a contract on the delivery of the S-400s in October 2018.
In August, the Head of the Russian Rosoboronexport country’s arm exporter, Alexander Mikheev, told Sputnik that negotiations about the supply of the S-400 air defense system was underway with seven countries in the Middle East , the Asia-Pacific and African regions.
