Moscow: Russian police on Tuesday searching for Apartment Journalists Investigations and their relatives as authorities accumulate more on independent media.
Projects (Projects), one of the remaining independent media outlets in Russia specializes in deep investigation, said that the police robbed the main editor of Roman Body and Journalist Maria Zholobova.
Another journalist, Deputy Editor of Mikhail Rubin, was detained while the police were looking for their parents’ apartments, said media outlets on social media.
The search came ahead of the publication of the investigation planned to the alleged wealth of Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev, Putra and other relatives, the project said.
“But we will still publish it,” said Media Outlet on the Messaging App Telegram.
Kremlin Critics said that for two decades in the power of President Vladimir Putin had silenced most dissidents and had beaten media.
Some of the opposition and independent media that are still operating in Russia are under great pressure, the Kremlin opponent said.
In April, the authorities appointed Meduza, the popular Russian-language news website based in Latvia, “foreign agent”, forced him to launch a crowdfunding campaign to survive from the loss of advertising income.
The following month the other independent online media outlets, Vtimes, received the same tag and turned off in June.
Groups or individuals identified as “foreign agents” in Russia must disclose funding sources and label publications with relevant tags or fine pensions.
The appointment is seen as a deterrent for advertisers, and publication staff with labels say stigma makes it more difficult to work, including quoting sources.
Russia will hold parliamentary elections in September, and before the polls authorities stated the organization of cremin criticism which was imprisoned by Alexei Navalny Extremist and forbade its allies to run.
