Moscow: Russian Soyuz rockets have detonated into space that carries 34 new satellites from British Operator Oneweb, which aims to provide broadband internet throughout the world.
The rocket operated by Arianespace Europe took place successfully at 2213 GMT on Saturday from Nelayonur Cosmodrome in Kazakhstan, said the Space Agency Roscosmos in a statement.
It was the fifth launch of the Oneweb satellite this year, with the last one in July 1.
Oneweb worked to complete the construction of low Earth orbit satellite constellations that provide broadband services and other countries around the world.
The company competes with the billionaire Elon Musk and Jeff Bezos in a race to provide fast internet for remote areas in the world through satellites.
British companies plan for its global commercial internet services to operate next year, supported by around 650 satellites.
Arianespace, who has worked with Russia for almost two decades, is under contract to make 16 Soyuz launch between December 2020 and the end of 2022.
With this latest mission, a total of 288 satellites are now in orbit for constellations.
