ST PETERSBURG: Russia have verified that Mario Fernandes didn’t even suffer a spinal injury following his significant drop in Wednesday’s 1-0 win over Finland in their European Championship Group B game at St Petersburg.
Total back Fernandes had a tough drop at the first half following an aerial duel that watched him drop his neck and back.
The 30-year-old was shot off the pitch on a stretcher and carried to the hospital for scans.
“Fernandes was imagined using a sinus spine accident,” the Russian group said in a declaration.
