Sabarimala: Entries for 25,000 worshipers per day

Thiruvananthapuram: In the review meeting organized by the Head of Pinarayany Minister Vijayan, it has been decided to allow 25,000 people to have Darshan per day at the Sabarimala Temple during the next Mandalam-Macaravilak pilgrimage season.
However, the decision about whether to add or reduce the number of worshipers will be taken after reviewing the early days of pilgrimage.
Unlike the previous season, when the pandemic went on a rampage, this time the holy swim on the Pamba River would be permitted.
It has also been decided to allow worshipers over the age of 65 years and children under 10 years in the hill temple.
It has also been decided to make it mandatory to provide a negative RT-PCR certificate or a vaccination settlement certificate to proceed to Sannidhanam for Darshan.
Darshan will only be permitted through the virtual queue system.
Vijayan said at the meeting that Prasadam Abhishekam (Ghee) would be distributed to worshipers.
For this, CM said Travancore Devaswom boards must make the necessary settings, including preparing a special counting.
Meanwhile, no one will be allowed to stay at Sannidhanam at night.
As in the previous season, worshipers must return immediately after Darshan.
The worshipers will not be allowed to travel through the umeli forest route and also through pullumedu.
Vehicles will only be allowed to nitackal.
Special services from the KSRTC bus will be operated between Nilackal and Pamba.
More facilities, including toilet facilities, will be developed in Pamba and Nilackal.
CM has asked the Ministry of Health to increase the number of health care centers between Pamba and Sannidhanam.
Those who have a symptom or post-covid problem must avoid trekking the holy path.
More oxygen and the heart center will be arranged along the trekking path.
The meeting was attended by Minister Devaswom K Radhakrishnan, Minister of Forest A K Saseendran, Minister of Transportation Antony Raju and Water Resources and Irrigation Minister Roshy Augustine along with senior officials.
Meanwhile, Minister Devaswom K Radhakrishnan said in the assembly that all basic facilities for the pilgrimage season were ready at Sabianimala.
The Joint Action Plan of the Ministry of Health and Income has been withdrawn to overcome problems in various sectors, including hospital facilities in Pamba and Erumeli, in addition to settings for RT-PCR testing.
