Sabarimala states a special security zone

Thiruvananthapuram: The government has declared the Sabianimala as a special security zone in connection with the Mandalamku Mandalamaku Festival season that will come in the temple.
It is the third year that the government carries the nearest temple and area under the cover of a special security zone where some restrictions can be occupied.
In addition to Sannidhanam, all routes to temples such as Pamba, Camp Base Nilackal, Elavunkal, Cheriyanavattom, Valiyanavattom, Pandithavalam, Pullumedu, Uppupara, Kozhiklam and Sathram will come under the cover.
One km on both sides of the main route will also be under the special security zone category.
This step by asking Section 83 (1) of Kerala Police Law, 2011.
In accordance with the part, the government can, on the recommendation of the National Police Chief or by itself given the high security threat faced by any distinguished or protected people present at one Regions or institutions or buildings are important, tell such areas as special security zones.
Also, according to Section 83 (2) of the law, restrictions can be imposed in connection with the use of buildings and building vehicles and in connection with the movement of people, vehicles and objects in the field.
The government, meanwhile, has decided to increase the number of orders in the virtual queue which is now set at 25,000 per day.
This is considering relaxation in Covid-19 restrictions in the state and also observations made at a high-level meeting chaired by CM last month that all who enroll in virtual queues did not appear for Darshan.
It has also been decided to hand it over to the policy of officials responsible for recognizing those who cannot get registration in virtual queues but still reach the temple, after verifying their documents.
The restrictions were forced for those who were less than 10 years and those aged more than 65 years, after Covid-19, had been withdrawn this time.
The Holy Baths in Pamba will also be permitted.
However, the restrictions imposed for Neyyabhishekam will continue.
