New Delhi: India celebrates ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’, marks the 75th independence year, amid the patriotic spirit.
A series of events were being held throughout the country to mark the opportunity.
Expanding the greeting on the occasion of the 75th Independence Day, Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Sunday said the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ will instill new energy and new awareness among citizens.

Jai Hind!” Tweeted PM Minister of Prime Minister on Sunday paying tribute to Mahatma Gandhi in Rajghat before speaking to the nation in the Red Fortress in Delhi on the occasion of independence day.
He also lifted the Indian national flag to this historic day.
