Tokyo: Avinash Sable Crushed 3000m Steeplechase National Record itself but failed to qualify for the final while Sprinty Dutee Chand produced performance under par to do out of the Olympics here on Friday.

The first three in each of the seven heat and the next three fastest increases to the semifinals.
The 25-year-old player qualifies for the Olympics based on the world ranking, cannot violate automatic qualification marks of 11.15 seconds.
He also qualified for the Olympics in the 200m race based on the world ranking.
Jabir disappointed when he ended seventh and last in hot number 5, recorded 50.77 seconds for the overall 33rd position of 36 competitors.
The 25-year-old Indian has the best of 49.13 seconds.
The first four finisher in each of the five heat and the next four fastest in all qualifications heated up to the semifinals.
