Letter: National Green Tribunal (NGT) has taken Suo Motu’s awareness of the GIDC gas leak tragedy, which left six people killed on January 6, and issued a notification to the Gujarat pollution control agency.
According to sources, environmental supervisors also made the state government of respondents in the notification.
On Tuesday, the first online hearing was carried out where government officials and those from the GPCB Law Department.
GPCB is looking for time to submit the answer and appoint a lawyer.
Local police have arrested 11 people including local factory owners, transporters and Hikal Mumbai-Ased officials from which chemicals are thought to be brought here for dumping.
Meanwhile, City Police Letter on Wednesday issued a notice of Sameer Hirathan, the Implementing Director of Hikal Ltd, after he failed to display himself before the police last week.
The DCB team went to Mumbai but he was not found in his place or farmhouse.
Police camped in Mumbai for four days.
This notice has been issued remembering the possibility of Hirathan leaving the country.
After the procedure, all airports and ports will notify the details to prevent it from escaping from the country.
