MUMBAI: Former India captain Sachin Tendulkar on Monday donated blood on the occasion of World Blood Donor Day and urged citizens to return and participate in voluntary blood donation.
Tendulkar, who moved for the blood donation Monday afternoon together with his group from Mumbai, emphasized the value of blood vessels in treating many health terms, and also the way the timely access to safe blood for transfusion plays an essential part in improving human lives.
In a video published through his social networking manages, Tendulkar talked on his personal experience of a near relative in need of blood a couple of months ago.
