New Delhi: The leader of the Congress Sachin Pilot on Friday met the President of the Sonia Gandhi party at his residence in the national capital amid speculation the possibility of reshuffle of the cabinet and other main promises in Rajasthan.
After the meeting, Pilot said Congress wanted to strengthen the state organization ahead of the election of the assembly to be held in 2023.
“It is important to form a government in 2023 again.
The party will take decisions to maintain experience, credibility, regional balance and the combination of caste in mind,” said Pilot.
He also appreciates Sonia Gandhi because it is constantly looking for feedback about what needs to be done for the country.
“At the right time AICC Secretary General responsible for Ajay Maken will make the right decision regarding Rajasthan,” Pilot added.
Chief Minister Rajasthan Ashok Gehlot said on Thursday that the Congress high command will decide on the cabinet reshuffle in Rajasthan.
He also met Sonia yesterday.
Congress has formed a panel of three members for the resolution of the problem raised by the legislator led by the pilot, which has rebelled against Gehlot last year.
The source said the congress is likely to take part in the “one leader, one post” formula in the cabinet reshuffle.
“There will be ‘one leader, formula one post in the cabinet reshuffle.
Three senior members of the Gehlot cabinet are likely to be removed from their post because they have been given responsibility in the party.
Rajasthan PCC Govind Dotasra, AICC Incharge Punjab Harish Chaudhry, AICC Incharge from Gujarat Raghu Sharma is likely to come out in reshuffle.
They themselves have asked to work for a party, “a major source had told Ani’s news agency.
At present, nine positions in the Gehlot cabinet are empty.
The source said the pilot was looking for a cabinet bed for 4-5 mlaz loyal to him.
